Position: Product Marketer
Location: Jacksonville Beach

SUMMARY

The Product Marketer (PM) provides a voice for the product and is vocal during the concept, design, visualization, and requirement setting stage of the product cycle. The PM speaks internally on behalf of the product, communicating with others regarding the features and functionality of a product, and organizing a portfolio that aligns with GORUCK’s product and marketing strategy. The PM is a conduit between the Product, Merchandising and Marketing Teams, and will guide a launch plan in collaboration with the Merchandising, Marketing, and Public Relations Teams to ensure a successful product launch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with executive leaders, R&D, and Merchandising to define and document the story of why a product is created and its unique positioning within GORUCK’s existing portfolio of products and how it is expected to be positioned externally to customers. 
  • As a Product team member, support product creation by contributing ideas, identifying potential issues in the product development process, and recommend solutions.
  • Collaborate with leaders and cross-functional teams to prepare a Product Brief/Story for GORUCK products (new or iterations) and capture the intent, unique value, product specifications/materials, photographs, and videos.
  • Educate the marketing team on new products (what they are, why they were built, and how they fit in the GORUCK gear lineup). 
  • Ensure that product pages, including photo, video, description, and specifications are accurate. 

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree. Preferred marketing, design, business, or other related field.
  • 6+ years experience in product marketing, product development,  product copywriting, or similar role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills to determine how to use market data regarding strategy and development.
  • Deep understanding of market trends and product life cycles
  • Firm grasp of ways to develop strategic product marketing campaigns
  • Ability to integrate into cross-functional teams and manage competing priorities.
  • Proven success in product launches and online marketing campaigns
  • Time-management abilities and strong attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for the company and its growth potential.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
